CT Consultants provides two minority scholarships, the Edwin B. Hogan Memorial Scholarship and the Ohio Minority Engineering Student Scholarship Program (OMESSP).


The Hogan Memorial Scholarship is provided in conjunction with  OMESSP and are OMESSP-Logosponsored in conjunction with New Visions Group. Joining CT and New Visions Group in support of OMESSP is the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus (OLBC) and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).

The two programs provide Financial Assistance and Possible Internship Opportunities to minority students pursuing a degree in civil engineering, architecture, or planning while enrolled at an accredited Ohio college or university.

Program Highlights

  • The Hogan Memorial Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship presented annually to a student of Black/African Descent in the civil engineering, architecture, and planning fields with a focus on community involvement.
  • The OMESSP program includes four $2,500 scholarships awarded each year to students with a civil engineering focus. Scholarships can be maintained as multi-year scholarships if students continue to fulfill program requirements. 
  • Students may also be eligible for internship and mentoring opportunities. The programs are promoted to accredited Ohio colleges and universities with engineering programs.

Program Requirements

To be eligible for this scholarship program, applicants must:

  • Be an Black/African descent student enrolled in an accredited Ohio college or university
  • Students must be declared as an engineering major and focus on civil engineering. Architecture and planning fields are also eligible for the Hogan Memorial Scholarship.
  • Maintain reasonable standard of conduct, as defined by the Ohio Minority Student Scholarship Program selection committee, expected of scholarship students
