The City of Berea desired improvements to Coe Lake Park that would transform the existing park into a destination entertainment venue along the west shoreline of Coe Lake. The goal was to develop an iconic park serving as the centerpiece of the community. The final improvements seek to create a multi-functional park to accommodate large groups during concerts and community events as well as an inviting facility for everyday use and activity by the public. A new 3,000 sf pavilion was completed in 2016 as part of the phase I improvements.
Phase II, completed in 2018. included the completion of the amphitheatre built into the existing slope using existing rusticated Berea sandstone blocks reclaimed from a bridge replacement project in the City with the new pavilion overlooking the amphitheater.
