CT Consultants’ Third Annual High School Night

November 14, 2013
Mentor, Ohio

On the evening of November 13th, CT Consultants hosted 33 high school students and their families for an opportunity to learn more about a career in civil engineering, architecture, landscape architecture and land surveying.  Students represented many Northeast Ohio schools including:

      • Lake Catholic High School
      • Willoughby South High School
      • Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School
      • Padua Franciscan High School
      • Madison High School
      • Parma High School
      • Mentor High School
      • Eastlake North High School
      • St. Ignatius High School

This third annual event, the largest attended to date, is organized by CT Consultants’ young leaders to allow students the opportunity to see first hand what a career in these fields is all about.  The evening’s hands-on activities and demonstrations provide students with an understanding of the types of projects that are completed with a college degree in one of these fields.

Activities included:

      • Work with state-of-the-art GPS surveying equipment
      • Demonstrations of the latest computer design programs
      • Review of final design plans for projects designed by CT Consultants
      • Quick design project competition
      • An engineering trivia challenge
      • A question and answer session with CT Consultants’ staff about what courses to expect, internship opportunities, and job opportunities

CT Consultants looks forward to seeing a new generation of engineers, architects and surveyors.
